ASSESMENT

The assessment and evaluation will be done mainly by two agents: the students and the teacher. The students will complete a template named KWL, which stands for know, want to know and learned. With this template, students will not only activate their previous knowledge and expectations, but also do an evaluation of the activity and a self-assessment task. This information will be collected through the "learned" column, which will tell the teacher whether students have acquired knowledge with the activiy and how successful it was.

On the other hand, the teacher will complete a simple rubric to keep track of the performance of students in each of the tasks. Even though observation is important in this process, it is fundamental to write information down in order to correctly assess students. Due to the short period of time that this WebQuest will take, the rubric will be, as we said, very simple and staightforward.

In this way, the assessment will be done in the following percentages:

  • Self-assessment (20%) - KWL activity
  • Tasks (50%) - Rubric
  • Attitude (30%) - Daily observation
